"I have been working with Dana for about two years now. I had first reached out to her because I wanted to lose some weight and get control of my diet. About 6 months in I was diagnosed with eosinophilic asthma. I spent about a year on and off oral steroids and inhaled steroids trying to get my asthma under control. I had rashes on my face, frequently had swollen eyes and still could not breathe. My doctor finally recommended going on a biologic to treat my E asthma. I was terrified to go on that sort of medication especially since nothing else was working. I called Dana, panicked, and she calmed me down and gently reminded me to try going off dairy. She had made the recommendation to me before but I did not think I could live without... I had been allergy tested in the beginning of my journey of being diagnosed with E asthma but I never presented with food allergies. Dana taught me that certain foods, even though you may not be allergic, can still cause inflammation storms in your body. She asked me to give it a month... 30 days and see what happens. I tried it and 30 days later I was no longer needing oral steroids and the swelling in my face had subsided. Two months in and the rash on my face that had plagued me for years was gone and I was able to go off the inhaled steroids. I am now two years in and will never go back to eating dairy, my skin is clear, I rarely have to use anything more then my maintenance inhalers, and I have never had to go on biologics.
